1.1 - What is your experience with commissioning systems and equipment?

Answer 1

• Use of COMBIVIS drive software for the VFD’s on the V164 Yaw Motors.
• Use of COMBIVIS drive software for the pitch drive inverters on the Haliade-X.
• Use of Vestas Online Toolkit to view the control system and ensure all nodes are being received.
• Ensuring that the VPC board states are ok.
• Ensuring no breakers are off/tripped.
• Use of Oscilloscope when having issue with Generator overspeed. Had to check for sensor alignment and setup and realign sensor.
• Oscilloscope will observe the output signal from the sensor, giving a clear view of the waveform.

1.2 - Can you explain the commissioning process from start to finish?

Answer 2

First, testing and verification of the equipment/components.
- Functional testing to verify the system operates as intended, for example pressure testing and performance tests.
- Calibration of sensors and instruments to meet operational standards of the turbine.
- Document and record test results and any corrective actions taken.

Final commissioning before handover.
- Integrated system testing which involves testing the entire system to verify that all components operate seamlessly together.
- End-user training on the operation and maintenance of the systems.
- documentation review, finalising all commissioning documentation, including test results and compliance certification.
