Competitively inhibit two enzymes
- L-alanine racemase: Forms D-alanine from L-alanine
- D-alanylalanine synthetase: Incorporate D-alanine into the pentapeptide necessary for peptidoglycan formation and bacterial cell wall synthesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis

A
Absorption: 70-90% in GI tract
Distribution: Widely distributed in body tissues and fluids, including CSF
Metabolism: Liver (Primary)
Excretion: 70% excreted in urine

Common side effects of Cycloserine
A
Psychosis, Dizziness, Vertigo, Headache, Sleep disturbances, Peripheral neuropathy, and Depression
