What is testosterone?
Male sex hormone made by the testes
What is puberty?
A time when a male or female develops to become sexually mature
Whats the scrotum?
A protective sac that encases the testes
What are testes?
They make and nourish the developing sperm and they also make testosterone
What are seminiferous tubules?
A mass of coiled tubes they contain diploid cells that go through meiosis to make haploid sperm cells
Whats the epididymis?
This is where mature sperm are stored.
Whats vas deferens?
A tube that carries the sperm to the urethra
Whats the urethra?
It transports sperm and urine out of the body
What is the penis?
Its the organ that contains the urethra and enters female during sexual intercourse and muscular contractions ejaculate the sperm
What is semen?
The mixture of sperm and seminal fluid
What does the cowper’s gland, seminal vesicles and the prostate gland do?
They are accessary glands that secrete seminal fluid
