The powers shared by the national, state and/or local government.
Concurrent Powers
The powers specifically named and assigned to the federal government or prohibited to be exercised by the states under the U.S. Constitution.
Delegated/Enumerated Powers
A system of government in which power is divided and shared between national/federal, state, and local levels of government.
Article 4/ Federalism
The government body of a municipality or county.
Local Government
The national level of government (U.S.A).
National/Federal Government
The powers that are not given to the federal government that being to (are reserved for) the states and the people. It’s written in the 10th amendment.
Reserved Powers/ 10th Amendment
The clause the states that the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land and that the national laws are supreme over state laws.
