Any time a natural gas valve has been shut down
The IC shall notify the responsible utility company via the Borough dispatcher. Type and location of the valve shall be included in this notification. Units are not required to stay on scene unless conditions dictate or IC requests an immediate response
Officers shall continue to notify the responsible utility company
Anytime it is deemed necessary
The Dept of Buildings shall be notified via the borough dispatcher in the following instances
Structural collapse
Suspected serious structural condition or problem
Elevator incident with injuries
Elevator incident -serious (elevator car free falls, etc)
Escalator incident with injuries
Defective boiler or water heater with injuries (CO poisoning)
Defective boiler or water heater serious (boiler explosion)
Amusement ride incident with injuries
Sidewalk shed incidents (damage to shed)
Scaffolding related incidents (hanging or fixed)
Construction site related accidents (crane accident, worker falls)
The Dept of Buildings no longer requires immediate notification for
Routine incidents that do not result in injuries
Officers shall continue to notify the Dept of Buildings anytime
They deem necessary
Units shall continue to notify Dept of buildings via form
A-8 or A-8 for special attention when appropriate
