1-97 PASS IT ON PROGRAM Flashcards
Whenever the IC deems it appropriate he should utilize this program to identify an incident where the lessons learned or reinforced may be beneficial to all. The IC may be the rank of LT or above. Some examples of situations that should be used are
Apparatus accidents Building collapses Close calls Injuries Positive actions which led to a safe operation
This information should be
Faxed to the Bureau of Ops by the IC or his designee within 24 hours of the operation.
A copy shall be forwarded to the
Administrative Division through the chain of command
It may be
Hand written or typed
ID of all units or individuals would be appropriate only in
Positive situations and inappropriate in others (injuries, accidents, etc)
The Bureau of OPS will review and format the final version within
48 Hours for prompt transmittal to the field
Prior to faxing information to the Bureau of OPS
The IC shall make immediate telephone notification to their Administrative Division through the chain of command
Administrative battalion and/or division shall investigate if necessary
Units will receive an 11x17 pass it on poster which shall be placed at a location where
Company drills are generally held in quarters
When a new pass it on is developed and transmitted to the field, units will receive
2 copies
One copy placed on the 11x17 poster and not removed until replaced by a subsequent issue
One copy shall be filed in binder in company office until expiration
