Halogenoalkane - heat with aqueous NaOH followed by the addition of AgNO3

Alcohol - heat with acidified potassium dichromate - orange to green
Carboxylic acid - addition of sodium carbonate - bubbles of CO2 produced, turns limewater cloudy
