What is population
The amount of a certain animal in a certain area.
What is the difference between Uniform, clumped, and random
Uniform is usually in competition for land and looks clean. Clumped usually hunt in groups for resources. Random is usually plants and depends on areas with more resources, having more plants.
What animal are usually in a Uniform pattern
Penguins
What animals are usually in a clumped pattern
Wolves, deer, gazelle
What animals are usually in a random pattern
Not animals, plants. All plants do this.
What population pattern would geese be in?
Clumped
What population pattern will day lilies be in?
random, unless planted in gardens
What population pattern would Red wood trees be in?
Uniform
How do you calculate population density using quadrats
of organisms/area of sample = total #of organisms/total area
