Q

If resistance applied snd your firing something dint be stupid THINK IN REAL LIFE PERSPECTIVE

A

Real life itsgonna be less distance, mould answer to that

Time of flight is bigger, but v is much smaller due to drag, as over smaller distances the time t of flight won’t INCREASE BY THAT MUCH

Don’t lack

And if answer suggests can’t decide SAY THAT

Q

6 markers even though they don’t mention draw a labelled diagram, or use auantative analysis use it ANYWAYS

A

So draw herts
Rung rustle, and use fsctord to determine how much rope should icnrease / decrease by etc

Q

6 marker on deducting stres on rips , how to do d
- change the ropes
- change the shape

A

Using young modulus equation, thing about it it tells you the max force it can have
- increase by increasing e , cross sectional area, (reduce length)?
- tell the, how much by ti increase

2 changing the shape you get correct, reduce area to reduce mass and change of momentum’s
- make more stream line so change of momentum is less, such that they dint stop at 0 velocity

Q

Explain total increase in internal energy what do you have to say

A

Mist say ke and pe is total , so if one increase but other doesn’t overall it does

Q

Pressure is used to drive some water down and up, how to find the change in pressure?

A

Pressure + water pressure = atmospheric, as at that point they are BALANCED
Pressure - afmosheic this = water pressure now

Okay so as we have to go (higher / lower) ore measure total distance changed from equailborum and going AGAINST the atmosphere, we have to use double displacement

Always look at situation BEFORE AND AFTER

Q

Sequence of red giant 4 marks

IMPORTANT FOR the red giant
Say as much as you can for each point

A

1) fuel runs out, cop please and red giant formed
2) hydrogen shells, so pushes out layers, they escape as PLANETARY NEBULLAE (MUST SAY)
3) eventually ends up white dwarf

Super red route
1) hydrogen fuel runs out, and fuel of shells
2) implosion and supernova, ejecting into space
3) As remaining mass of core bigger than 1.44m , end up as neutron star or black hole

Q

Why do cooler stars stay longer than hotter , what to do using data and hertelrung

A

Draw HR to identify if yiu have higher or lower luminosity based on temp
Show by STEFANS LAW TOO
- compare luminosity ratio to mass ratio.
As higher luminosity stars have lower mass ratios in comparison, this means higher luminosity stars EJECT mass higher rate

Link this to answer, try to show data too

Q

It says gpe and ke are conserved in an eliptical field, why can’t we I eindusele cslaulte ke ? But can use difference in gpe = gain in ke?

A

Beacsue ke calc involves using SAME TIME PERIOD, but eliptical time period is approximation

However gpe is TRUE for any eliptical orbit because it’s still distance away from sun

So use change in gpe to represent gain in ke !

This will ALWAYS WOEK

Q

If they ask you to work out somethinf in the q, YOU MUST INTEGRATE IT INTO YOUR ANSWER SOMEHOW

A

Here they asked to find b

The relevance of b was that a small increase in mass meant big increase in luminosity

Now kust know that luminosity is linked to The LOSS IF MASS, so higher lumniosity = higher loss of mass, and show this with data

But yh if they ask you to find a value MUST USE it somehow, else limittin marks g
