-Unable to pay reparations to France so France invaded Ruhr which was the richest part of Germany
-German workers organised passive resistance, cost government more money
Made Weimar Republic look weak

A
Needed to pay off debts so they can rebuild Germany so they printed more money, things became worthless
-people lost savings and couldn’t afford basic goods, Weimar looked useless

- Hitler tried taking over government, Beer hall in Munich, used inflation crisis to gain more support
- he was arrested and sent to jail but his trial gained popularity
- showed how weak government was
