A

Joseph plunkett forged a document called the castle document which stated the g British were going to capture leaders of the volunteers and Mac Neil told the volunteers to get ready to resist arrest.

Why did the rising fail

A

No countrywide rebellion the British could focus on Dublin
Takin key positions in Dublin meant easy for brush to surround them and being beside the liffey mean the helga could shell GPO and bad tactics
They were outnumbered by the British who were better trained and armed

A

3000 people arrested ( even tho not that many in rising)
Martial law was introduced by General maxwell
All leaders executed

Why did public opinion begin to change

A

After the executions the public felt sympathy for the rebels
2000 people imprisoned most of them were innocent and sent to internment camps
Those who went to internment camps became republicans
