A

One which binds to the active site of the enzyme

What does the non-competitive inhibitor do to an enzyme?

A
  • It binds onto the enzyme (not at the active site) and prevents the normal enzyme-substrate complex to be formed, as the active site is changed, this reduces the rate of reaction.
