What order shall departures be normally cleared for take-off? (1)
In the order that they are ready for take-off
Deviations may be made from this order of priority to facilitate the maximum number of departures with the least average delay
What factors should be considered in relation to the departure sequence? (6)
- Types of aircraft and their relative performance
- Routes to be followed after take-off
- Any specified minimum departure interval between take-offs
- Need to apply wake turbulence separation minima
- Aircraft which should be afforded priority (Flight category)
- Aircraft subject to ATFM requirements
A departing aircraft will not normally be permitted to commence take-off until the preceding departing aircraft has: (3)
- Crossed the end of the runway-in-use
- Started a turn
- Until all preceding landing aircraft are clear of the runway-in-use
When an ATC clearance is required prior to take-off, the take-off clearance shall not be issued until the…? (1)
ATC clearance has been transmitted to and acknowledged by the aircraft concerned
When shall a take-off clearance be issued? (3)
When the A/C is:
- Ready for take-off
- At / approaching the departure runway
- The traffic situation permits
