What is ATP?
A
The molecule Adenosine Triphosphate is used to release energy.

A
1 Adenine base, 1 Ribose, 3 Phosphate groups.

How is energy released?
A
ATP Hydrolase breaks it into ADP and P1 which literally means that it breaks 1 Phosphate off to release energy.

Can ATP be resynthesises after its used?
A
Yes, P1 joins ADP in a condensation reaction catalysed by ATP Synthases to create ATP for future use.
