- Normally in response to or anticipation of changes in the environment
- Normally focusing on the people in the change

Describe Lewin’s Model for Change
A
Refreeze (solidifying the desired change) -> unfreeze (preparing the desired change) -> change (implementing the desired change)

Describe the ADKAR model for change management
A
- A = awareness of the need for change
- D = desire to support the change
- K = knowledge of how to change
- A = ability to demonstrate new skills & behaviours
- R = reinforcement to make the change stick

Describe Kotter’s Model for change management
A
- Create a sense of urgency
- Create the guiding coalition
- Establish vision and strategy
- Communicate the change vision
- Empowering broad-based action
- - Remove barriers and obstacles
- - Optimize environment for success - Generate short term wins

Difference between vision vs. strategy
A
- Vision = picture of the future as well as the reasoning on why it should be sought after or attained; should be clear and concise
- Strategy = how the vision will be achieved; has to be realistic and grounded, must agree w/ vision
