Persecution of an individual or group within society for political reasons, particularly for the purpose of restricting or preventing their ability to take part in the political life

First international tribunal since Nuremberg and the first to have a mandate to prosecute the crime of genocide

Non-overt attempts at sabotaging a government, carried out by spies or other subversives

Carried out by different kinds of political, economic, or religious militant individuals/groups
