ANS. D Hemachromatosis - is associated with Secondary Osteoarthritis, which usually takes place in patients of younger than 65, and like other Osteoarthritis involves weight bearing joints and pain that gets worth with use and stiffness less than 30 minutes.
A. Smoking- is related to RA which would have systemic features, stiff greater than an hour and usually takes place in hand joints
B. N. Gonoococcus infection- Would be septic arthritis which would usually have other infection symptoms
C. HLA-DRB1- is the genetic association for RA which would have systemic features, stiff greater than an hour and usually takes place in hand joints.
E. HLA-B27 associated- is related to Seronegative Spondyloarthropathies, patients would have imobile joints and usually involves the spine.
A 32 year old woman comes to the doctor because of recurrent pain in her hands. She says the pain gets better throughout the day but take over an hour for stiffness to go away. During physical exam there is inflammation. Lab test is done being positive for ACPA. What does her current diagnosis increase her risk of also getting?
