Training Mode
if OBTT is uncertain of how well the crew will respond to a drill it is acceptable to begin in evaluation mode then drop into training mode
Evaluation Mode
no planned OBTT intervention, used to grade, training timeouts allowed for safety/minor procedural corrections/real world events, intervention is brief and does not cause a drill to drop into training mode (“Reach Through Training”)
What is the cutter, purpose of the Limited Training Team (LTT)?
scheduled between training cycles at the request of the cutter, paid for using ship’s funds, useful during large PCS transfer, request 2-3 months prior for planning
What is the purpose of Ready for Sea (RFS)?
used for after drydocks/before commissioning/nonoperational periods of 6 months+, FORCECOM funded, assesses the cutter’s ability to operate safely until it can complete a full training cycle
