Verb - 저는 밥을 먹는 것이 아니라 공부하고 있어요 (notice 이 still only used)
Adjective - 그 여자는 예쁜 것이 아니라 못생겼어 that girls not pretty she’s ugly

The reason I want to go to Korea, is not because I want to work, because I want to study the Korean language.
( 십 is adjective so use 은/ㄴ with 것 remember)

Because 위해 is an adjective means it can be (less commonly) used as 위한 do describe a noun -위한 것
이것은 저의 여자친구를 위한 것이에요 this thing is a thing for my gf

제가 한국말을 배우고 있는 이유는 저의 여친을 위한 게(것이) 아니라 그녀의 부모님을 위한 거예요 (것이에요)
The “I’m learning Korean reason is, not for my gf, it’s for her parents
Or said as
저는 저의 여자친구를 위해 한국말을 배우고 있는 게 아니라 그녀의 부모님을 위해 배우고 있어요
I’m learning Korean not for my gf, I’m learning for her parents
remember multiple ways to say one sentence, look at both
First sentence rlly emphasizing the reason *why

그게 아니라 나는 너를 그녕 보고 싶어 it’s not that, I just want to see you(I just missed you)
