Where are tropical rainforests located?

Name the 4 layers of the TRF
Forest floor, understory, canopy, emergent
How have drip tip leaves adapted to survive in the tropical rainforest?
These leaves are thick and waxy. The shape of the leaves allows rain drops to run off quickly, to avoid growth of fungus and bacteria.
What is the climate in a tropical rainforest?
Average rainfall in the tropical rainforest is 2000mm per year and average temperature is 27 degrees Celcuis.
How are tree frogs adapted to the TRF?
Have big, red eyes that they flash at predators which gives them time to leap to safety.
They have sticky pads on their feet so they can sleep upside down on leaves and hide from predators whilst they are vulnerable.
How is the tarsier adapted to the TRF?
It has the biggest eye to body ratio of all mammals. Therefore, it can easily see at night to identify and catch prey.
