Optimize Dashboard Performance

• Before you finalize a dashboard, run a performance check
• The dashboard inspector identifies bottlenecks and provides recommendations
• Run the inspector on each layout and page
• The inspector only provides results for the current page

Using Dashboard Inspector

Answer 4

• Open the dashboard in view mode (dashboard inspector is not available while running the app, editing, or previewing outside of Tableau CRM)
• Click … and then Dashboard Inspector

Performance Tab

• Click Run Performance Check
• The Performance Factors section shows all factors by which the dashboard is evaluated
• Warning icons (yellow triangle with !) can be expanded to learn how to fix the issue

Queries Tab

• Shows all queries that ran on the current page
• It shows metrics for each query: # runs, no. milliseconds to run for the first time, avg. no. milliseconds to run the query
