API Call Limits
- Max Concurrent (Simultaneous) Tableau CRM API Calls per Org: 100
- Max Tableau CRM API Calls per User per Hour: 10,000
- Bulk API usage doesn’t count towards the limits
- The dataflow submits a separate bulk API call to extract data from each Salesforce object
- The dataflow uses a batch size of 100K to 250K depending on whether the dataflow or bulk API chunks the data
- To extract 1 million rows from an object, the dataflows creates 4 to 10 batches
Row Storage Allocations by License
Each license allocates a set number of rows:
- Tableau CRM Plus: 10 billion
- Tableau CRM Growth: 100 million
- Sales Analytics: 25 million
- Service Analytics: 25 million
- Event Monitoring Analytics: 50 million
- B2B Marketing Analytics: 25 million
- Tableau CRM for Financial Services Cloud: 25 million
- Tableau CRM for Health Cloud: 25 million
- Extra Data Rows: 100 million
Total Row Storage Limits
- Total row storage limit for all registered datasets combined depends on your org’s license combination
- Total row storage limit is a combination of your org’s active licenses
- Tableau CRM Plus already includes Sales Analytics & Service Analytics, so the total row allocation remains 10 billion
- Tableau CRM Growth already includes Sales Analytics & Service Analytics, so the total row allocation remains 100 million
- If your org obtains another Sales Analytics or Service Analytics license, the row limit increases by 25 million each EACH app obtained
Dataset Row Limits
rows, fields, decimal places, characters
Each dataset supports up to 2 billion rows. If your org has less than that, each dataset supports up to your org’s allocated rows.
- Max no. fields in a dataset: 5,000 (incl. up to 1,000 date fields)
- Max no. decimal places: 17
- Max no. characters in a field: 32,000
Data Sync Limits
runs, objects, time for local & remote
If you extract over 100 objects in dataflows, contact Salesforce Customer Support
- Max no. concurrent data sync runs: 3
- Max no. objects that can be enabled for data sync: 100
- Max time a data sync can run for local objects: 48 hours
- Max time a data sync can run for remote objects: 12 hours

- Max no. recipes: 1,000
- Max no. concurrent recipe runs: 1
- Max no. Data Prep previews per hour per user: 4,000
Dataflow Limits (definitions, runs, characters in dataflow definition file)
Limits for Dataflows
- Max no. dataflow definitions: 100
- Max no. concurrent dataflow runs: 2 (Tableau CRM Plus) or 1 (Tableau CRM Growth)
- Max length of dataflow definition file: 1,000,000 characters
Recipe and Dataflow Limits
runs in rolling 24 hrs, timeout for jobs
Limits for Both Recipes and Dataflows
- Max no. dataflow and recipe runs in a rolling 24 hour period: 60
- If they take less than 2 min they don’t count - Timeout for data load jobs that have been scheduled but not executed: 5 min
External Data Limits
ext file size, ext file size R-24 hrs, ext jobs R-24 hrs, fields, characters, characters for all fields
- Max file size per external data upload: 40 GB
- Max file size for all external data uploads in a rolling 24 hr period: 50 GB
- Max no. external data jobs per dataset that can be run in a rolling 24 hr period: 50
- Max no. fields in a record: 5,000 (incl. up to 1,000 date fields)
- Max no. characters in a field: 32,000
- Max no. characters for all fields in a record: 400,000

Lens and Dashboard Limits

- Max JSON file size per dashboard: 4 MB
- Max no. components per dashboard: 10
- Character limit for description fields: 1,000
- Default no. rows in a compare table: 2,000
- Default no. rows in a values table: 100
- Max file size for geojson: 10 MB
- Max no. notifications per user: 10
- Max no. recipients per notification email: 500
- Max no. data columns that can be downloaded in Excel format from a lens or widget: 16,383
