What was the Invasion of Barbossa?
Germany invaded Russia to try to capture them before the US had time to mobilize
How did Germany invade Russia?
3 pronged attack to Leningrad, Moscow, Stalingrad (they never make it to Moscow)
What happened in the Seige of Leningrad?
Germany surrounds the city, but know they don’t have the resources to occupy it so they cut off their resources. Germany eventually retreated because it wasn’t worth it.
What happened in the Battle of Stalingrad?
Germany expected a quick win, but Russia brought in reinforcements so Germany wasn’t prepared to fight into the winter and had to retreat

US and Germany fought for control of the Atlantic (for trade routes)
