What was the purpose of the Blitzkrieg?
To conquer the West quickly in order to avoid fighting on two fronts. In this period Hitler was popular and the Germans had lots of resources

Total War, and 1941 to 1945

The Russian army and winter was too powerful for the Germans

They had to cut back on heating, work longer hours and recycle more. They also donated around 1.5 million fur coats to the army

Bombings started to increase

Albert Speer, and postal service were suspended, letter boxes were closed, entertainment with the exception of cinemas were closed and women started to work again
