Q

During WW1, why did the government introduce propaganda?

A

Many people were sick of conscription so if the government came up with a way to just influence people to do things instead of forcing them, people would have a better attitude towards things

Q

What was the Moroccan Crisis?

A

In 1904, Morocco had been given to France by Britain, but the Morocans wanted their independence. In 1905, Germany announced her support for Moroccan independence and said they would support them against French or British interference. War was narrowly avoided by a conference that allowed France to keep control over Morocco. However in 1911, the Germans once again protested against French control over Morocco. In the middle of this, Kaiser Wilhelm sent the Gunboat Panther to the Moroccan port of Agadir which increased tension and was viewed as a threat.
