A
After WW1 the kaiser abdicated due to opposition he was facing because of WW1.

Major food shortages starved most of Germany due to farmers being away at war.

They signed the Armistice which brought weakness to Germany.

They had not negotiated the terms of the treaty and this was known as Diktat.

Critics said that the decision to sign the TOV had been ‘forced upon them’
