Intersection syndrome (“De quiervain tenosynovitis)

Tenosynovitis at 1st extensor compartment (APL and EPB) crossing over the 2nd extensor compartment (ECRL and ECRB)

**will always occur 4cm proximal to the wrist (where the 1st and 2nd extensor compartments intersect)

Diagnosis and what is the tx?

A

Ulnolunate impaction syndrome 2/2 remote radial fracture resulting in shortening of the radius and acquired positive ulnar variance

Treatment: ulnar osteotomy to restore normal ulnar variance
