Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005
Aims to reduce accidents at work
Increased fines for breaches of health and safety practice
Publish list of workplaces that have received a fine
Allows testing for intoxicants in the workplace
Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996
Aged 14 or younger are not allowed to work during the school term
Not allowed to work more than 7 hours in one day
Must have a break of 30 mins after 4 hrs work
2 rest days per week
