b) A covering letter showing ethics committee approval should be sent with the research proposal to the relevant hospital requesting permission to interview patients.
c) The hospital ethics committee will review the proposal.
d) Once permission granted, patients may be invited to participate in the study. Information sheets written in plain language should be distributed and patients can then contact the researcher if they wish to participate.
