Should unused WP plugins be deactivated or deleted? Whats are the pros and cons? Do deactivated plugins slow down a WP site?
A
Plugins should only be deactivated (and not deleted) if you think you will use that plug-in again. While Deactivated plug-ins do not slow down at WP site at all as Inactive Plugins are not loaded, you will recieve update notifications and their executables do allow hackers to compromise their files.
