On QNAPs whats the difference between Static, Thin and Thick Volumes?
A
- Static volumes use 100% of a single disk with no raid or striping
- Thin volumes can be set at any size, but if they use more than what is physically available, the QNAP crashes
- Thick volumes pre-allocatie volume sizes limited by the physical limitations of volumes
