Q

Hardness Property for wood

Explain

A

Healthier trees have a higher level of hardness. Moisture content varies among, and cold temperature increase hardness. Rot affects the hardness of wood.

Q

Elasticity Property for wood

Explain

A

Wood has good elasticity. It can suffer many impacts without being permanently deformed. Defects and rot also reduces the elasticity.

Q

Tensile strength Property for wood

Explain

A

Wood has excellent tensile strength so it is often used to support heavy loads. Hardwood
has more tensile strength than softwood. Rot decreases the tensile strength of wood.
