21
Q

Where are Jing River points located in general, regardless of whether they’re on a Hand or Foot channel?

A

Jing River points are generally located at the wrist or ankle

(e.g. ST 41 is at the transverse crease of the ankle joint, bw the tendons of m. extensor hallicus longus & extensor digitorum longus, while LI 5 is at the transverse crease of the wrist joint, bw the tendons onf m. extensor pollicus longus & brevis.)

22
Q

Which points on the ST channel are located on the lower leg (not foot)? How many cun down?

A
ST 35
ST 36 = 3 down
ST 37 = 6 down
ST 38 = 8 down
ST 39 = 9 down
ST 40 = 8 down
23
Q

Which points on the ST channel are lateral to each other on the shin?

A

ST 38 and ST 40

(Both are 8 cun down from ST 35. ST 38 is one finger breadth lateral, and ST 40 is two finger breadths lateral to the anterior border of the tibia.)

24
Q

What cun measurement do we use to locate ST channel points on the lower leg?

A

16 cun between the corner of the patella (or the eye of the knee, when the knee is bent) & the lateral malleolus

25
Q

When we measure one finger breadth lateral to the anterior border of the tibia, whose finger do we use?

A

the patient’s finger
