LI 16 - location
in the upper aspect of shoulder: in the depression between the acromial extremity of the clavicle and the scapular spine
LI 16 - needle technique
perp or oblique and outward, to avoid puncturing the lung; also not too deeply (0.5 - - 0.7”)
(in the clinic, we only needle this point obliquely)
LI 17 - location
on the lateral side of neck: at the posterior border of SCM, beside the laryngeal protuberance, at the midpoint of the line connecting LI 18 and ST 12
(ST 12 is 4 cun lateral to anterior midline)
LI 18 - location
on the lateral side of neck: level with the tip of the Adam’s apple, between the sternal head & clavicular head of SCM
LI 19 - location
on the face: right below the lateral margin of the nostril, 0.5 cun lateral to Du 26 (midway between the nose & lips)

LI 20 - location
on the face: in the nasolabial groove, at the level of the midpoint of the lateral border of the ala nasi
