Barbera
Red Italian wine grape known for deep color, low tannins, high acid. Mostly found in the Northwestern italy
cabernet sauvignon
full body red wine with complexity, and richness in flavor. (black currants)
Chardonnay
Full bodied white. can be buttery and or oaky. (apple and citrus)
Chianti primary grape
Chianti region of Tuscany italy. lighter body and high acid, dense plumminess sangiovese
garganega
white italian wine grape. Veneto region of northeast italy
Malbec
medium to full body dry red wine. jammy characteristics
Merlot
medium body tanic (plummy with dark fruit)
Mascato d’ asti (where)
sweet low in alcohol. often enjoyed with desert sparkling version of muscat Piedmont italy
pinot gritio
dry and light body. mineral flavor with citrus finish
pinot noir
light body (earthy, leathery, berry jam)
prosecco (where)
sparkling wine tend to be crisp, appley and often dry eastern part of Italy’s Veneto region
riesling (Where)
sweet with consistent fruity and floral flavors Germany (like cool temperatures)
rose
made from a wide variety of grapes get the pinkish color from soaking half the time as skins/stems as reds (not white or red but rose)
sauvignon blanc
dry white wine tend to be crisp and acidic. Herbaceous and grassy aromas. clean and refreshing.
