Lady Macbeth questions and attacks Macbeth’s masculinity and pride. This shows Lady Macbeth had authority of questioning Macbeth, which is odd considering this was the Jacobean Era, when women wouldn’t dare to doubt their husbands which show her ambition and desire for power. Lady Macbeth was doubting his ability to kill Duncan. Her taunts plays onto Macbeth’s insecurities by manipulating his thoughts.
