Steep Turns
- Set flight director to “gunsight”
- Cardinal heading
- A/P On
- if speed is > 180, set torque to 22-33%, props 1500
- Airspeed s/b 170
- Set torque to 43%, Airspeed increases to 180
- Disconnect A/P and roll into 45 degree bank turn, lock your self into seat, remove hand from power
lever and place “BOTH” hands on controls - Establish 2.5 degree nose up
- WORK YOUR SCAN….START ROLL OUT 20 DEGREES PRIOR TO CARDNIAL HEADING
Departure Stall
- Gear up, flaps approach
- Reduce torque to 5%, and begin pitching smoothly up
- Bank to 20 degrees
- First sign of stall, RECOVER
——–> POWER MAX and CALL for SET POWER
——–> PROPS full forward
———-> PITCH down no more than 10 degrees
———> PITCH for VREF 115
———-> CALL FOR FLAPS UP
———–> LEVEL WINGS
DON”T LET THE NOSE DROP
Landing Configuration Stall
- At the FAF
- Gear down
Flaps Down Full
Props full forward - A/P OFF
- Power Levers at 5%
- Pitch for 500 feet per minute of descent or flight bars as directed, keep wings level
- FIRST INDICATION OF STALL
—> POWER MAX ( call for set power)
—-> PITCH Down No more than 10 degrees
—-> Speed VREF
—-> call for FLAPS/GEAR/FLAPS - CLIMB to Missed approach altitude or flight path (Evaluatior decides)
Cruise Clean Stall
0 - 5000 Feet AGL
1 - A/P on with wings level
2 - Power levers 5 %
3 - First indication of stall (A/P kicking off if on)
4 - POWER MAX / PROPS FULL FORWARD – CALL FOR SET POWER
5 - PITCH down no more than 10 degrees
6 - Speed is AT or ABOVE VREF
6 - Resume 5000 feet or altitude specified by evaluator
BALKED LANDING
0 - GO Around button - —– GA / GA with max power
1 - Call - SET POWER
2 - PITCH 12 degrees or VREF (105)
3 - Wait for instructor to call CLEAR OF OBSTACLES
4 - LOWER PITCH toward 115 —– Call - FLAPS APPROACH
5 - Positive rate - Call GEAR UP
6 - 125 KTS - FLAPS UP
7 - SNAP
