Systemic lupus erythematosous
SOAP BRAIN MD, mostly a relapsing fever with joint issues and a malar rash. Anti-dsDNA and anti-Smith protein
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Affects PIP joints, wrist and elbows, large masses on those areas. Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptides
Sjogren
Dry eyes and mouth. Anti-ribonucleoproteins SS-A and SS-B antibodies
Systemic sclerosis (scleroderma)
Sclerodactyly starting at distal fingers, Reynaud’s, Interstitial fibrosis. CREST syndrome (calcinosis, Raynaud’s phenomenon, esophageal dysmotility, sclerodactyly, and telangiectasia). Anti-Scl-70
Dermatomyositis
Muscle weakness and skin rash. anti-Mi2, anti-Jo1, anti-P155/P140
Polymyositis
Muscle and systemic involvement is similar to that seen in dermatomyositis, except for the lack of skin involvement. anti-Jo1, which is directed against histidyl t-RNA synthetase.
Mixed connective tissue disease
Contains a mixture of the last 6 autoimmune diseases. Will also contain anti-U1-RNP
