A
- process of self reflection to understand personal and systemic biases
- to develop and maintain respectful processes and relationships based on mutual trust
- involves humbly acknowledging oneself as a learner when it comes to understanding another’s experience
- acknowledging that HCP can never be expert or competent in another person’s culture, but instead demonstrate openness to learning

- transmission of a collective emotional and psychological injury over the lifespan and across generations among indigenous people & continues to affect the health and well-being of young Indigenous men and women
