How can we use cultural sensitivty?
Individual health care providers can find and become sensitive towards a paitent and understand differences from the domiant norm.
What is cultural competency?
Health care workers can have an understanding of the beleifs, values, and pratices of various groups. Learning what shaped their culture itself. Learns only about the stereotypes common to their culture.
Outcome of cultural safety
Respectful engagement and focuses on how a certain group is percieved and treated. Depends on the social , economic, and political position of a group. Discrmination however creates risks. Address the power inbalances. More activly wishes to address the power inbalances and stigmas.

Process of self-reflection to understand personal and systemic biases and to develop and maintain respectful processess and relationships based on trust. Acknowledge yourself as a learner.
