How stakeholder affect environment orgs operate in ?
o Economic Forces – general economic conditions and trends such as unemployment, inflation etc, may affect an organisation’s performance
o Technological forces – new developments in methods of transforming resources into goods and services
o Sociocultural forces – influences and trends originating in a country/society/culture’s human relationships and values that may affect an org.
o Demographic forces – influences org arising from changes in characteristics of a population, such as age, gender, ethnicity
o Political-legal forces – changes way politics shape laws and laws that shape opportunities for and threats to an org
o International forces – changes in economic, political, legal and technological global system that may affect org.

o Affects oral nature of managing – while written comm increases, verbal decreases, there is danger that communication can be more frenetic and superficial
o Affects lateral nature of job – easiness of extending external network at expense of maintaining the internal ones
