  • Onset of mood elevation is slow (requires 2+ weeks)
• Improves mental alertness
• Increases physical activity

Caution and contraindications

• NEVER prescribe for a suicidal patient
• Not for patients w/ CVD
• Can lower seizure threshold
• Extreme caution w/ elderly
