  • Add drops of iodine to a solution
  • Positive : Blue / black
  • Negative : Remains Brown / orange

  • Mix with ethanol

A
  • Add Benedicts solution
  • Heat at 60-70 degrees in water bath for 5 mins
  • Take test tube out of water bath
  • Positive : Orange to brick red
  • Negative : Stays blue
