As we look at creation, what is the principle that must guide us?
By faith we understand it: Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
Demonstrate creation work by triune God.
Gen. 1:2 The Spirit hovered over the face of the waters.

Beginning of creation, before which nothing existed.

What do we infer from God’s making Eve in this manner?
To show both an order/submission and also unity.
How does the order of creation (Eve created second) apply to gender issues?
Gender is ontological.
1 Cor 11:8, 9 For man is not from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.
1 Tim. 2:13, 14 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
