We use D3 level- caries that progressed into dentine and passed amelo-dentinal junction on visual examination.
What type of reaction is hydroxyapatite to fluoroxyapatite?
Substitution reaction where hydroxyl ion replaced by fluoride ion.
How does fluoride have a preventative effect?
Packs tightly in hydroxyapatite structure gives preventative effect.
