- helps regulate body temperature

A
- water keeps you from overheating
- evaporation of sweat helps to cool down, but it means water is lost during this

A
- blood viscosity increases
- reduced sweating to prevent water loss - increases core temp.
- muscle fatigue & headaches
- decreased exchange of waste products
- increased HR = lower cardiac output
- decreased reaction time
