a. it is a focused, planned approach to understand who, what, and why things are happening in order to identify improvement opportunities.
b. to perform a GEMBA walk, you have to go where the work is happening and observe it
What are the benefits of doing a GEMBA walk?
a. Understand what is going right and what is going wrong
b. Listen to ideas on how to correct the wrong
