It is a written authority issued by a judge or magistrate which directs a person to do a particular act set out in the warrant

Where a person is committed in custody. Authorised detention.

To arrest for an offence
Failure to answer summons
Arrest for non payment of fine

What is a summons?
A
It is a written order signed by a magistrate or clerk of court. It will demand a person to attend at a time and place specified to answer the offences detailed in it or to give evidence and or produce exhibits.
