What airports are in the EGPWS database?
All hard surfaced runways longer than 3500ft.
What are the modes of the EGPWS?
Mode 1 - Excessive descent rate - SINKRATE
Mode 2 - Excessive terrain closure - -TERRAIN
Mode 3 - Altitude loss after takeoff - DON’T SINK
Mode 4 - Unsafe terrain clearance - TOO LOW ___
Mode 5 - Excessive glideslope deviation - GLIDESLOPE
Mode 6 - Advisory call-outs - 2500, 500
What is monitored by the Takeoff Warning Horn?
The horn will sound if the torque is above 50% and:
- Spoilers (extended)
- Elevator Trim (out of TO range)
- Parking brake lever (park)
- Condition levers (not 1020)
- Flap position (more than 20 or less than 3.6)
When is TCAS inhibited?
CLIMB - above 24000 or low oil pressure.
INCREASE CLIMB - gear down and flaps 35, autofeather armed or flap override switch on with gear down
INCREASE DESCEND - below 1450ft AGL
TA ONLY at 1000ft AGL AND low oil pressure
TA ONLY below 600ft AGL
No aural advisories below 400ft AGL
