Which display will automatically revert to another display in the case of a failure?
The ED will revert to the captain’s MFD.
What are the operating modes of the AHRS?
Alignment Normal Slaved BASIC DG
How long does it take to re-align the AHRS?
60sec on the ground and 90sec in the air.
How does Slave mode differ from Normal mode?
In slave mode the heading information is taken from the analog signals from the Flux Data unit.
What is Basic mode?
When TAS is not available AHRS is not able to apply acceleration correction and the EADI will behave similar to a mechanical gimballed gyro.
What is DG mode?
If a flux valve malfunction occurs a red SLAVE light will illuminate and a heading flag will appear. Putting the system in DG mode the AHRS do not receive magnetic heading data and the crew must slew the heading to match the standby compass.
What parameters do the ADCs display in the flight deck?
